It was a massive month for House music. Ultra Music Festival in Miami even made headlines in UK newspapers (The Daily Mail would you believe?!). With Tomorrowland on the horizon and tonnes of exclusives which were dropped at Miami awaiting release, the rest of the year looks set to be a winner for the genre. So which treats were released/heard this March?

I will start with one of my own because I am quite surprised as to how well it’s doing actually! I was hunting for acapellas at the start of this month because I wanted to work with some vocals and I stumbled across a studio acapella (very clean acapella) of Jessie J’s ‘Domino’ which had been on circulation in the charts. I loved the vocal so I ended up making a bootleg which I released for free download on my Soundcloud page and people seem to like it! Grab it now!

Also available is my bootleg of Lana Del Rey’s smash ‘Video Games’.

The big boys were out in force in Miami with some absolute bangers so here is the round up of the best:

Avicii, whose ‘Levels’ is still one of my favourite tracks dropped a game changer at the beginning of his set with Madonna (which is another story). It’s a remix of Madonna’s latest track ‘Girl Gone Wild’ which Avicii smashes! The atmosphere went electric as soon as he played it. Also check out ‘Nicktim’ which is a collaboration with Nicky Romero and is rather wonderful.

Afrojack had yet another awesome set playing a mix of old and new and dropping some stunning unidentified tracks! One of them was a definite highlight. ‘Rock The House’ has a big build up and drops into pure bleepy goodness.

David Guetta and Nicky Romero teamed up to produce another fine track called ‘Metropolis’ which was dropped by Guetta and had an amazing reaction from the crowd. For someone who is so disliked by many in the EDM world, he certainly knows what he is doing.

Tiesto dropped his new track ‘Chasing Summers’ in his colossal set. That man really knows how to make a crowd go crazy. Having watched his ‘In The Booth’ series on his YouTube channel, I can definitely say that he is as good as they get!

There were tonnes of other tracks and DJs who played amazing sets, too many to mention in fact. But without a doubt, the festival which was attended by around 150,000 people every day shows the strength and power of EDM and House in particular.

As for the releases this month, Archie V who is a Russian 17 year old Progressive House prodigy gave away his track ‘Leto’ which really rocks! The build up is superb with delicate breakdowns and powerful melodies. It drops into a bomb, with huge bass and a massive big room feel! Get it now!

From me, that’s all, but March was such a massive month, I might have to another post! But bye for now.
